Just a step away from London Fashion Week and its trends for the next European summer, the British newspaper The Guardian released its list of A-Z fashionable tips for the autumn in London – which starts in the end of this month. According to the journalist Maggie Davis, the author of the guide, Zaha Hadid’s (Z) splash in fashion – thanks to her partnership with Melissa – is one of the big happenings this year.
“She's collaborated with Melissa, a Brazilian firm specializing in plastic shoes, to make footwear as complex and curvaceous as her buildings”, says the text, which highlights that the boots created by Zaha are “the ultimate in comfort”. Zaha’s collaboration with Chanel to design a 'mobile art container' where the label’s classic bags will be exhibited was also remembered.
Among the guide’s other “not to be missed” names this autumn are Annie Leibovitz (A), whose latest exhibition (Annie Leibovitz: a Photographer's Life 1990-2005) is being held in the National Portrait Gallery, and the gothic (G) make up, which, according to Davis, is the last trend for London girls this season.
