Museums are not anymore what they used to be: old and sometimes dusty. Nowadays, a museum can be a pretty modern place, with lots of technology behind creations and in the way of exhibiting objects.
That’s the case of a French Plastic Museum located in Oyonnax, in Southeastern France, close to the Swiss border. By choosing a very actual subject – plastic – and having a curatorship that is in tune with our times, this Plastic Museum has become one of Europe’s interesting cultural centers – which has, actually, chosen Melissa to integrate its permanent collection.
Only Brazilian representative in the museum, Melissa starts up participating in a exhibition called “C’Plastic” that gathers the best of the world plastic design. With different examples like coffee machines and ashtrays, going through decoration pieces like Philippe Starck’s furniture and fashion with Dior, Paloma Picasso and, of course, Melissa products, the exhibition take the visitors through a journey from the beginning of the 20th century and its first products made of plastic to the development of new materials and its potential applications.
“C’Plastic” started in March and will keep its doors opened until the 14th of December. See more information on Oyonnax Plastic Museum’s website.
