Besides producing recyclable shoes using less energy as possible, Melissa invests more and more in projects pro-sustainability. Together with Brazilian designers Fernando and Humberto Campana, partners of the brand for some years now, Melissa created a strategy of artistic intervention with guerilla actions, which is being held in Sao Paulo and in Rio de Janeiro since the beginning of September. In full swing during Milan Fashion Week (20th-27th September), Vivienne Westwood’s shop windows – located right in the center of the city, with the best shops of the Italian fashion capital, where fashionistas are circulating during these days – highlighted the Melissas created by the fashion designer for the brand’s Autumn/Winter 2009 collection, launched in January during the Sao Paulo Fashion Week.
